Superhero Engineer

Superhero Engineer
by: basti, 2003

Mahirap daw maging estudyante.

First year to second year, medyo okay pa daw.
Third year to fourth year, humanda ng maging halimaw.

The "real" score on bra's A,B,C,D,DD,E,F,G,H

Have you ever wondered why bras are tagged as A,B,C,D,DD,E,F,G,H? And how each letters are actually used to define bra sizes? Many of the guys out there already know about this, but still, there are some few who are still clueless on this matter. And to those few, or even those who already knew about bra cup sizes, I'm sure these pictures can help you a lot.

It seems like you already made it till the end. Now here's a question for you. What's your size?

Interesting Online Community Users

The Robot Receptionist
These are the people whom you are very familiar with. You ask how? They're mostly the first two or three persons to leave a comment on your page. I like them in a way that they make our new members feel welcomed and appreciated. How they do it so fast and consistent is unknown to me.

The Artist
They can make an art out of typed words. Globe Telecom started the era of SMS here in the Philippines. We simply call it texting. We grabbed it, we loved it, and most of us started being creative with it. I'm not sure how it all began but people started sending consciously misspelled words, alternating capitalizations, missing vowels, etc (mostly to save space) and we simply call it text-speak. Then came Friendster, all hell break loose. You can almost feel that a new form of writing has been created. Eventually, these people discovered FS, FB, Twitter, Plurk, etc.

The Ninja
These people will pop out of nowhere, find their target profile, blog or discussion, leave short lines like "pak u!", "blah blah aktibista ako blah blah", "site nyo bulok" then they'll disappear again into emptiness.

The Troll
You could easily tell them from afar. These creatures don't have what you call normal lives. They thrive in chaos and anxiety. They will spam, curse, unhinge topics, provoke, etc. Their dimwittedness is limitless. After spending an hour or two of trolling, the person behind it will simply slouch on his computer chair, put his hands behind his head then breathe the air of self-contentment. Pity.

The Super Friends
Sometimes called the Vigilantes. They don't have special powers but they use their limited resources to fight Trolls and Ninjas (if you're lucky enough to even see them). They often fight in shadows as well so as not to attract more adversaries. We're lucky to have these people in our doorsteps.

The Unsettled Souls
They're the result of the active duties of The Super Friends. They promise vengeance and chaos. Often hire Trolls and Ninjas to do their bidding. Some even swallows the lowness of being a troll just to do their own resentments.

The D.O.M.s
These are the people who look at our Members Page as a catalog or an aquarium of a local club. It's hard to detect their kind since they directly contact their choices via PM. You will never see a trace of their deeds. I pray that our ladies are clever enough.

The Poor Souls
These are the people who are in deep pain. Too deep that they're giving away their phone numbers and IM IDs to those who are willing bite the advertisement via posts like "Desperately looking for love" (or something similar). The DOMs automatically saved their numbers without hesitation.

The Story Tellers
Oh I love these people. They made us entertained by posting the stories of lives, thoughts and adventures. Some even share their videos and voices. I love them.

The Businessmen
They're so busy that they always fail to include substance or relevance in their posts.

4 things you should never do with your credit cards

Susan McCarthy, author of the book The Value of Money listed her top four credit card don'ts:

1. Don't make only the minimum payments. This stretches out your payment and, thanks to the interest, significantly increases your overall cost.

2. Don't carry too many cards. Multiple cards make it easier to rack up debt because it's harder to keep track of your spending. Having lots of cards isn't necessarily bad for your credit, but misusing them is. So limit your plastic to two national cards (store cards often carry higher interest rates) that you manage carefully.

3. Don't miss payment due dates. Not only will you be hit with a late fee-as high as $39 on some cards-but your interest rate could also jump. Sign up for online banking or pay over the phone if you're up against the deadline. (You may pay a processing fee, but it will probably be less than the late fee and the possible interest-rate hike.)

4. Don't take cash advances. These advances generally come with sky-high interest rates and service fees, making them a far too expensive way to get cash. Avoid at all costs.

Efren Peñaflorida is an ordinary man doing an extraordinary things

Efren "Kuya Ef" Peñaflorida Jr. is a teacher and a social worker. He is the founder of Dynamic Teen Company (DTC), an organization training young children to become responsible, systematic and principled. The extraordinary thing about Efren or Ef is his outstanding advocacy to educate Filipino out-of-school youth through "pushcart classes."

He has been recognized as one of the "2009 CNN Heroes". And a single vote for him can really make a difference.

Must - Have Apple iPhone and iPod Touch Apps

It’s been two months since I upgraded my iPhone OS to version 3.1. And I’ve been hitting the App Store almost everyday to see what is new in iPhone App land. Numerous apps are in the store, many are useless and others are buggy, but there are a few that make the whole app thing worthwhile. If you have a new iPhone or iPod Touch just waiting to be filled up, or you feel like you may be missing some essentials in your collection, here are some of the apps that I found useful and worthy of your time to download and spare some dollars with.

Remote (Price: Free)

One of the first apps I saw, and still among the best in terms of usefulness. If you use iTunes frequently at home or in the office, and especially if you listen away from your desk via a stereo hookup or Airport Express, you need the Remote.

Fieldrunners: (Price: $2.99)

Fieldrunners is a tower defense game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Defend and control the field using a diverse selection of upgradeable towers in a limitless adventure, using a wide array of tactics and strategies against countless waves of unique land and air combatants.

Worms (Price: $4.99)

WORMS for App Store features:
Authentic WORMS action with crisp audio-visuals akin to previous "High Definition" Team17 console releases.
26 Weapons, tools and utilities including classic WORMS weapons & iconic favorites such as the Holy Hand Grenade, Concrete Donkey, Sheep and Ninja Rope!
6 great themes with randomly generated levels for unbelievable replay value.
A range of ten game-play modes offering a range of game styles from traditional, hard-core, explosive, faster paced or deeper strategy.
Create and name your own Worms. Give them a range of wacky voices & gravestones.
Unlock new voices and rewards as you play through the single player challenges.
Innovative Multi-Touch user interface, including pinch to zoom, two-finger scroll, etc.
iPod music support, play your own music library in game, or enjoy the default music.
Save game status on quit. This all-new feature automatically saves to the last turn if you exit the application and is great for longer battles. Unique to this version!
Fully localised in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch & Japanese.

Rock Band (Price: $9.99)

If you are a band fanatic and been playing this on your Sony PSP, I’m sure this will consider having this on you Iphone. Rock Band for iPhone allows players to choose between vocals, drums, bass, or guitar. The game involves tapping the screen on the correct notes. The game also features a multi-player mode (via Bluetooth), allowing up to 4 players to rock out on the go. It uses 158MB of disk space.

Malacañang apologized for taking back an earlier announcement declaring November 27 and 28 as special non-working holidays all over the country

Bad news for those who have already planned their vacation for the long weekend at the of this month.

Malacañang has announced that Nov. 27 and 28 would no longer be national holidays as originally declared earlier this year. Previous Proclamation No. 1808-A, issued by President Arroyo last Monday, amended the original Proclamation No. 1808, which declared the two days as national holidays in celebration of the Muslim feast of Eid’l Adha as holidays only in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and not all over the country.

With the issuance of the new proclamation, the workforce would still enjoy a somewhat long weekend since Nov. 30 (Monday) would still be a national holiday for the commemoration of the birthday of national hero Andres Bonifacio.

Relax. Ayos lang yan. May Holiday pa din.

Kaya mo yan

It is not enough to be the best when you have the ability to be GREAT!

Conquer your fear. Overcome your weaknesses.  Believe in your self. You're great!

Tintahan

May kasabihan ang mga tattoo artist na "think before you ink".

Think? As in pag-isipan?.. Oo!

Pag-isipan sa paanong paraan?

Una.

Maaasahan in a way na: Malinis gumawa. Magaling gumawa. At syempre, murang gumawa.

Maligayang pagdating.
